
Drammen’s Aass Bryggeri (Aass is pronounced aouss as in house) is Norway’s oldest brewery. Founded in 1834, this brewery’s main products are beer and akevitt.

We have an invitation to go to see a colleague of S’s in a small town (of about 22,000 people) called Lier. The train from Oslo takes us to Drammen (about 47km from the capital, population 60,000), where we meet our host’s son.
