No Horny Helmets

Some Viking boats had elaborate designs

Viking helmets had no horns. I promise I’ve heard that somewhere before but I refused to believe it. Arrrgghh! The agony. Killing all the romantic pictures of glorious horn-helmeted warriors that I had in my mind.

I heard it again today. During a visit to the Viking museum. Arrrgghh! And again. No horns. Did you hear that? No horns on their helmets. I am traumatised for life.

Their boats were nice though…
