Globalisation Burgers

In 2005 I had my first big mac. What a disappointment that was. It failed in so many way to pass my “great burger” test. After having heard so much about MacDonald’s this was obviously a big dissapointment.
I went on to try Burger King and they too disappointed. I couldnt’ understand why all over the world people spent mini-fortunes on this food. That same year I got the opportunity to try out another globalisation food brand- Starbucks. That tumble of coffee- I did enjoy- immensely.
In December last year I tried them again- MacDonald’s and Burger King. Different year, different city, same dissapointment. In an email to a friend of mine I expressed sheer disappointment with globalisation burgers. The burgers I made alone at home were a hundred times better I thought.
She wrote back saying that I should try a double whopper from Burger King. I figured I might as well give it all one more shot and tried it this afternoon. If my taste buds were little volcanoes strewn all over my tongue- today they almost erupted. That double whooper went gone and done it! There is hope for globalisation burgers after all…
