Heroes Acre

And the unkown soldier watches over the silent hills listening out for instructions from the souls of heroes in the wind…
The last time I was at the National Heroes’ Acre in Harare was in 1994. Going there again today was like a whole new lesson in Zimbabwean history. The AK 47 split shape. Amazing. The artwork on the murals & the detail in the statue of the unkown soldiers. The stories the guide told us of the lives of the men and women buried there. Truly inspiring.
Cost: Z$8million for locals, US$10 for foreigners.
