Truth in Translation - A Heart Rending Interpretation

“The Truth & Reconciliation Commission (TRC) in South Africa provided a space in which all those who had been victims of human rights violations under aparthied could come forward and make their stories heard for the first time.”

This heart rending play is a look at the TRC through the eyes of a group of interpreters doing translations during the hearings.

HIFA Opens with a Bang- on the Roof

The 2008 Edition of the Harare International Festival of the Arts opened with a bang at  party held for parnters and sponsors in the Harare Gardens this afternoon.

The Man Who Did Not Jump

I was driving along in town just the other day, in the busy mid-afternoon bustle. You know, the sort of vehicular and human traffic that makes the roads a dance of avoidance- at every turn and with every second you are trying to avoid hitting the next guy or the car to the left, to the right in front of you- and yes, trying to avoid being hit by the car behind you.
