Truth in Translation - A Heart Rending Interpretation

“The Truth & Reconciliation Commission (TRC) in South Africa provided a space in which all those who had been victims of human rights violations under aparthied could come forward and make their stories heard for the first time.”

This heart rending play is a look at the TRC through the eyes of a group of interpreters doing translations during the hearings.

CABS Opera Gala- Much to Delight

I don’t know much about Opera Music but  I sure do love the facial expressions on the faces of its practioners as they do their work- and  Alenka Ponjavic is a prime candidate for this.

Fireworks in Harare

As is traditional, the end of the opening concert last night saw the night sky over Harare being lit up by a specatular display of celebratory fireworks.
