No More Xeno

Stop phobing on my people
Throw the xeno out the window
The power lies in higher seats
Leave the stools alone
These are benches of strife
Of long worn souls seeking refuge
If you want to phobe
Pick on the system that uprooted the tree
And flung it into the Limpopo
To watch it flow not down stream
But cross-current to the other side
To bear new leaves
Phobe the greed, phobe the indifference
In corridors of might
Phobe the minions of corruption
Phobe the pole pole approach
Of the chiefs of Azania
Phobe the xeno itself
But let my people be

To date 42 people have died and 16,000 have been displaced following 10 days of Xenophobic unrest in South Africa, most of it flaring in squatter camps that are home to impoverished South Africans and immigrants from neighboring countries…Zimbabweans, Malawians, Mozambicans and others from neighboring countries have been the main targets of the attacks. They came to South Africa, the region’s economic hub, looking for work and ended up sharing squatter camps with poor — and increasingly frustrated — South Africans.- Story condensed from Yahoo News
