Acclaimed Zimbabwean Author Releases New Novel

Writer of the award winning Shona novel “Mapenzi”, Ignatius Mabasa, has released a second novel. At a function held in Harare recently to launch the Novel, some people who had read the book gave some very positive reviews of this second work.

Musicians Unite to Benefit Injured Artist

The gifted keyboard player of the group Color Blu, Nick Nare, was recently involved in a bad car accident in which he was injured and his arm broken.  Horrific medical expenses delayed his treatment, which in turn delays his chances of quick recovery and return to work.  (more…)

Slamming Them Together Through Poetry

The House of Hunger Poetry slam is on this weekend, 2 August 2008 at The Book Café. The Poetry slam is celebrating the International Youth Day which traditionally falls on 12 August according to the United Nations International Days calendar.

This month The Poetry Slam is running with the theme ‘Reconciling young people’– bridging the gap between the future leaders of tomorrow and creating an environment for national cohesion and healing within young people. (more…)
