Who knocks at the door
So early in the morning?
Whose little feet do I hear
Pattering in the corridor
Oh yes, it's the little one- ndi Maphi.

Is it she who moves to the music,
Who sings and dances so well?
Is it she who eats all day?
Yes it's she with the chubby physique
She who says- ndi Maphi

So every time I hear a knock at the door
Every time I hear that music
The pattering of bare feet on the floor
I expect to see her smiling face
And hear her yell: "Ndi Maphi!"
